Meet Your Hosts
Ros & George of Rustic Range Retreat
We’re George and Ros, long-time Bathurst locals who love calling Georges Plains home. After raising our family here, we now enjoy life on a small acreage with Highland cattle, Dorper sheep, and our beekeeping venture, Lavender on Saint John’s Apiaries.
George has a lifelong passion for agriculture and also serves as Captain of the local Rural Fire Brigade. Ros brings her background in environmental science and community work, along with a love of cooking, gardening, and sharing good food with family and friends.
At Rustic Range Retreat, we’re proud to welcome guests to experience the peace of country life, our sustainable farming ethos, and the beauty of the Bathurst region.

What You Can Do on Our Farm

Saint Johns Apiary
Honey & Bee Products from our farm
During your stay at Rustic Range Retreat, you can sample honey from our own Saint Johns Apiary. Our bees work across lavender, clover, and native flora, producing a unique flavour that reflects the Central West NSW seasons. We also create natural beeswax products, including reusable beeswax wraps, which make perfect gifts to take home from your Bathurst getaway.
From Heritage to Fine Dining
Beyond the farm, Rustic Range Retreat is just minutes from everything Bathurst and the Central West has to offer - from historic pubs and fine dining to artisan markets, heritage festivals and country drives. There is always something to explore, whether you are here for food, wine, culture, or a quiet country escape.
